The Role
We're looking for a Business Controller - Royalty for the Finance team at Soundtrack. They're a key part of Finance, and are responsible for financial planning, reporting, and royalty management.

As a Business Controller - Royalty, you will be our royalty expert, working closely with stakeholders within the company and third parties. Being proactively involved in the financial and reporting parts of the licensing agreements as well as leading projects within the area of royalty. With a strong analytical mind you will play a critical role in driving financial performance and share actionable insights to leadership.

Responsibilities

• Support strategic decisions through scenario analysis and business cases 

• Proactively involved in the process of renegotiations of Royalty agreements and retrieve the reporting and financial information from the agreements

• Act as the central point of contact among internal departments and external third parties

• Monthly calculations of royalty cost and delivering monthly accruals to accounting

• Taking the lead on projects relating to royalty reporting

• Analyzing monthly royalty cost

• Approval of royalty invoices

Requirements

• Prior experience with licensing and royalties from a financial perspective is a must

• 5+ years of experience in Business Controlling / FP&A 

• Analytical, business-driven, and comfortable influencing stakeholders

• Strong communicator who can turn complex data into compelling stories

• Strong in English, both written and verbal

• Advanced Excel and financial modeling skills
